Hi Bob,

Welcome to Colorado! When I came here (Denver) in '84 I didn't think
there would be too much VHF/UHF activity - well there was and has grown ever
since. There is a huge representation on 6M. The Rocky Mountain VHF+ Group
promotes a tremendous amount of 'Above 50 MHz' activity. Besides our Monday
evening 2M net (144.220, 8 PM local) we have activity nights every evening of the
week on different bands. Please check out our web site _www.rmvhf.org_
(http://www.rmvhf.org) for details. And, by virtue of the fact that you are in the
Rocky Mountain Region you are automatically a member of the "RMVHF+ Group". We
have a table at every hamfest in the area so stop by and let's put a face
with your call. We support a group of VHF/UHF beacons, located at just about
the geographical center of Colorado (near Como) at 9500'. We support our own
contest awards program - all this info available on the web site. The ARA swap
list run by NØPOH is closely associated with RMVHF+. You won't hurt for
VHF/UHF activity in this area.
Our next hamfest will be held Aug 17, at the Jefferson County
Fairgrounds. Info on date, time and location (how to get there) will be on the Monday
evening net and also the RMVHF+ reflector/web page.
